THE "INNOCENT SPOUSE" COCKTAIL, BEFORE BEING DEVOURED....
I plan to make myself an Innocent Spouse cocktail and when I'm done, before I devour it, I will take a photo and post it here. If I get the recipe right I'll post that, too. My son brought me a bouquet of flowers and then returned to cramming for exams. A friend is coming for a late and long lunch. It's a beautiful day. And Amazon sent a message saying they were shipping my book to those who pre-ordered. That's cool and a swell Mother's Day gift.
btw, you can buy this very drink every night at the M Bar on New Hampshire Avenue (the Renaissance West End Hotel) for the month of May and the proceeds go to the Children's Miracle Network. Do it!
As for the recipe:
Take a rocks glass
Muddle a bunch of fresh mint and a couple of teaspoons of Domino's Superfine Sugar
Add 2 ounces of Bacardi white rum
Add the juice of one lime
Add ice to fill the glass
Top off with French rose champagne...and a wedge of lime
Drink it feeling innocent, but realize later that you were naive!
