BOBBY MOORE, OWNER OF CANNON'S, IS FEATURED ON CHANNEL 5. BESIDE HIM, THE CHEF OF DC COAST
The perks of living in Georgetown are many, but near the top of the list is having two of the best local, sole-proprietor food markets in town - Cannon's Fish Market and Stachowski Market. For lovers of seafood and freshly butchered meats, these businesses, and their owners, are a delight. I love to talk to Bobby Moore about fish just as much as I love to listen to Jamie Stachowski talk about meat. They love what they do and what they sell. Cannon's was featured live at 7:45 a.m., Stachowski's will be at 8:45 a.m.

JAMIE STACHOWSKI, THURSDAY EVENING, PREPARING A FRESH LAMB FOR LIVE TV
Last night I got freshly ground hamburger meat from Stachowski. So good. Another big pleasure is to look for Cannon's lobster specials. When they have them I order ahead -- steamed lobster -- and then either take the meat and make lobster roll or crack them at home and eat fresh hot lobster with drawn butter and lemon. The soft shells are local, as is the jumbo lump crab meat. Bobby won't hustle you. Ask him what's the best and he'll tell you.
JAMIE SHOWS OFF SOME OF THE INCREDIBLE FRESH GROUND HAMBURGER MEAT. LIKE NO OTHER BURGER MEAT (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE CORNER BISTRO IN THE W. VILLAGE)
