REAL COKE, IMPORTED FROM MEXICO, AT THE COCA-COLA MUSEUM IN VICKSBURG, MS
Since I wrote about Vicksburg and the Coca-Cola Museum there, and the thrill of being served a real Coke -- made with cane sugar, not corn syrup -- I've heard from a few people who said it's possible to buy imported Mexican Coke in various locations. For example, Costco, and some Latin markets. Amazon may sell it, too. Couldn't find anything up to date on the web, though, and I prefer an actual market where I can read the label.
Question to real Coke connoiseurs: is there a place in the DC area where it's possible buy cane sugar Coca-Cola? Please let me know here. Thank you.
Update: lots of good responses. Thank you. I did score 6 bottles of cane sugar Coca-Cola yesterday at Taqueria Distrito Federal in Columbia Heights. In fact, I was driving back home when the earthquake hit and didn't feel even a shudder. So I missed the quake but scored delicious real Coke.
yes, they have it at Taqueria Distrito Federal in Columbia Heights.
