America's Cup Legend Ted Turner Gets His Smooch On At DC Dinner

God bless Ted Turner; you can't take the lover out of a lover. At the Lone Sailor award dinner tonight, waiting for the main event to begin, Ted took a moment to share a smooch with relatively long-time companion Salley Janney. I say relatively because I have bumped into them together for more than a few years. Since I had them both all to myself for a little while we talked about a lot -- ranging from the Navy Yard shootings to his ex-wife Jane Fonda and what he thinks of her playing him in the TV series, "The Newsroom."

Silliness, and kisses, aside, the dinner was at times emotional and moving, particularly because of some of the people and a service dog I met. Read it all tomorrow at washingtonian.com.
