Red Truck Bakery Comes to DC at The Q&A Cafe UNPLUGGED

Please join us Tuesday August 23 for a special edition of the Q&A Cafe; “Unplugged.” No TV cameras, just the audience, a good meal and great guest: Brian Noyes, owner of Red Truck Bakery in Warrenton and Marshall, Va, and author of “The Red Truck Bakery Farmhouse Cookbook.” When Brian reached out a few months ago, asking if it was possible to arrange a DC event for the new book, it struck me as a natural for the end of summer. Lunch will be inspired by his “farmhouse" recipes and he’ll bring a range of his famous baked goods for sampling. I will moderate, but we want audience questions, too!

When: Tuesday, August 23, noon, seating begins at 11:45

Where: The George Town Club, Wisconsin and Volta Streets NW

Fee: $35 all inclusive, and Politics & Prose will sell books

THE Q&A CAFE

The Q&A Cafe is now in its 21st year. We launched in October 2001 at Nathans in Georgetown as a response to the September 11 terror attacks, and from that initial purpose grew into a weekly community interview lunch, the first "talk show in a bar." When Nathans closed in 2009 we moved to the Ritz Carlton Hotel and since 2015 our home has been The George Town Club. Some 500 notable individuals, from all fields, have appeared for interviews, which are taped and air Fridays on DC Cable. All are welcomed to attend. For reservations: 202-333-9330.
